The programme was funded by the Norwegian Mission Alliance, with Women’s Union of Vinh Long serving as a long-standing partner. It aimed to support women in strengthening their business capacity and adapting to the rapidly changing digital landscape.

After nearly two months of implementation, 30 women participants, who were also project beneficiaries, successfully completed the programme, including 13 participants who achieved outstanding results. The training was designed to strengthen women’s digital skills and support them in developing businesses through e-commerce platforms. Through these efforts, the programme contributes to improving livelihoods, increasing household income, and supporting women in building more sustainable economic opportunities.

In addition to gaining new knowledge and skills, participants had opportunities to access and practise using a range of modern digital tools. This hands-on training helped build their confidence in applying technology to their businesses, enabling them to take greater advantage of opportunities in the digital environment and gradually strengthen their economic independence.

According to Ms. Le Thi Hong Rang, Deputy Director of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Tra Vinh University, throughout the programme, participants received practical knowledge and guidance from experts and successful business leaders with extensive experience in online business.

The training focused on practical skills relevant to today’s digital marketplace, including digital marketing, personal branding, AI-assisted content creation, selling products through e-commerce platforms such as Shopee and TikTok Shop, product promotion on Facebook, livestreaming, and developing businesses across multiple digital platforms.

Through the programme, participants not only gained a better understanding of emerging trends in online business but also developed the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to apply digital technology to their own businesses. These skills provide a foundation for women to reach a wider group of customers, improve business performance, and create new opportunities for sustainable livelihoods in the digital era.
