Reaching out - Vietnam

We have created a new web page for Mission Alliance in Vietnam. Why?

Its all about  sharing of resources.

Traditionally our role as a development organization would be to nurture and support local solutions. That is still our main approach. But with Climate Change related issues local knowledge is not always enough, we need to find addtional expertise other places.  In most cases the experts are already in Vietnam, at universities, local companies or with other development organizations. NMAV want to facilitate the connection between existing knowledge and people or communities in need of this competence.

In addition we want people that have attended trainings to find useful material online. When we train women in doing businness or teachers in inclusion education we plan to share supporting material here. Most of this material will be in Vietnamese. This can of course also be used by other NGOs working in the same field (only limited if there are copyright issues).

When a farmer is changing her livelihood because of climate change it is important to build on expertise to reduce risk. When teachers are trying to include children with disabilities there are some good practices how to do this. When local women need access to money and training to create a sustainable income – there are ways to do this that works well.

Our goal with this new website is to share some of our tools and experiences with other NGOs, partners or communities working in the field. In exchange we hope that you also support and share your resources and experiences with local communities, partners or us. When we all work together that is when positive change happens.
